For the first time after a longer break, the FEO once again hosts the World Cup Season Opening — right on the Hintertux Glacier, 3,250 m above sea level.
Athletes from more than eight nations in two FIS Telemark Sprint World Cup races. No grandstands, no barriers. Real community, right next to the course.

From Karmøy in Norway, on telemark skis since he was 16. Lately based in Trondheim, skiing mostly at Vassfjellet.

From the UK and a BASI Level III telemark instructor. His working life mixed fire service and adventure travel; he has also qualified as an instructor in mountaineering, telemark skiing and sea kayaking.

By car
Through the Zillertal valley to Hintertux. Ski pass pickup & gear depot right at the valley station.
By public transport
By train to Jenbach, then the Zillertalbahn + shuttle straight to the glacier.
Where to stay: Our partner hotel is the Hotel Pinzger in Lanersbach — for stays of 4+ nights, € 80 in a double or € 110 in a single room per person per night incl. breakfast (plus € 2.60 local tax per day).
